What is your process for identifying and screening candidates?

We provide a consultative approach to identify our clients’ business objectives and requirements. We maintain a state of the art database of active and passive candidates. We connect with our candidates through a variety of confidential pre-screening efforts including in-person and video conference interviews to ensure qualified and committed candidates before submitting names and/or resumes to our clients.

What is the process for applying?

You can apply for positions on our website or by submitting your detailed resume to one of our recruiters directly. Sharing a cover letter or email which gives the recruiters information about your job search, including your interest in temporary and/or direct hire positions and salary requirements will allow our recruiters to identify the best opportunities for you.

Does working with MLS limit my ability to search on my own?

No. Working with MLS does not restrict your ability to search on your own. Since MLS can not guarantee employment we encourage you to continue your independent job search. We consider ourselves to be an additional resource to our candidates.

Do you work with recent graduates?

Yes, legal professionals at all experience levels are encouraged to register with our company including recent graduates.

Do you help with resume preparation?

MLS does not offer resume writing services, however we do provide feedback and suggestions on candidate resumes.

How do you charge for your services?

Direct hire recruiting is done on a contingency basis. We are paid only upon achieving quality outcomes on your behalf. For contract and/or project based assignments using attorneys, paralegals and others employed by MLS, we charge a negotiated hourly bill rate. We offer a variety of customized billing options depending upon our clients’ specific needs.

What happens if we hire a temporary person and want to offer them a permanent position?

We offer all clients the option of converting temporary or part-time employees to permanent positions. Conversion options are a standard part of all services agreements and terms are negotiable based upon the employee, position and duration of employment.

What happens if we hire someone and it doesn't work out?

Our direct hire recruiting agreements allow for another search at no cost, if the candidate selected does not remain employed for at least six months.

Do you require an exclusive relationship for your services?

Although MLS welcomes the opportunity to be your sole recruiting resource, and/or retained search firm, we do not require an exclusive relationship. Searches are conducted on a contingency basis with no upfront costs or fees.
